ERASMUS (European Region Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students) has been recognized as one of the most important and successful European Programme for higher education and through it the mobility of students, teachers and staff has been developed through cooperation between European institutions. The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens participates in this important European initiative.

Erasmus+ is the European Commission's programme for education, training, youth and sport, which aims to strengthen skills and modernize education, training and youth systems for the period 2021-2027 and has been in force since 1 January 2021.
