CIVIS European University has charted a remarkable course emphasizing innovation, interdisciplinarity, team spirit and cooperation between the academic community (academics, students, researchers, administrators) and civil society in a common European area of education and research.

CIVIS European Citizen University promotes European ideals and aspires to play a catalytic role in shaping Higher Education, not only in Europe but also internationally. CIVIS is not just another European project, but a European-level educational network that can respond effectively to the challenges of the 21st century.

The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens has been participating for four years in the European University of citizens CIVIS and for the coordination, information and management of communication at NKUA in relation to CIVIS, the CIVIS office has been organized and operates on the ground floor of the main building of NKUA on Panepistimiou Street.
