Learning objectives

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:

• To understand the formulation of social protection policies in Europe
• Distinguish the different levels of reform interventions in developing and developed countries
• To be able to distinguish the economic and social operating parameters of health systems, their logical development and to compare the performance of different systems in the European Union.
• To understand the economic environment and the evolution of the main economic parameters in the context of the development of health systems

Course content

Comparative presentation, evaluation of health systems in Europe, advantages, disadvantages, European health policy, primary health care systems, structure, terms and conditions of successful operation, evaluation methods.
